2008 is 27th anniversary year
of the FRIENDS !

HISTORY OF THE FRIENDS

1981	Friends chartered as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization
1982	First Library Opens on Railroad Street
1985	Second Library Location at 102 S. 3rd Street provided by the City of Pflugerville.
1992	Friends gifts the Library collection and equipment/furniture to the City of Pflugerville.
1997	City of Pflugerville passes a $3-million bond issue to build a new Library and Recreation Center. Friends gifts 1.6 acres to the City for the new 12,500 square foot Library.
1999	Grand Opening of the new Pflugerville Community Library by the Friends of the Pflugerville Community Library
2004	Dedication of the "Window to the World" funded by the Charter organization of the Friends in appreciation to the City of Pflugerville, for continuing the Friends' dream, and to the many individuals of the Community-at-Large who made it happen.
